Two Instructional Coaches Present at National Conference

Our teachers are leaders, and we are so proud!

Two of our District's Instructional Coaches for Technology, Ms. Brandi and Ms. Walczk, were recently chosen to present at the National Future of Educational Technology Conference in New Orleans. The educational conference is known as the best place to engage with pioneers leading the charge in classrooms, schools, and entire districts.

Ms. Brandi and Ms. Walyczk used interactive activities to present to teachers and coaches throughout the United States and 30 international countries, how BeeBots and Sphero Ind cars support our elementary students learning to code!  During their "Coding through the Classroom" session, Ms. Brandi and Ms. Walyczk guided attendees on incorporating coding into the curriculum and discussed methods to tie in cross-curricular content, including Social Emotional learning.

"It was truly an honor to represent Longwood to educators from across the country and share how progressive and forward-thinking the District is in its commitment to the technological development of our students," said Ms. Brandi. "We look forward to building upon the strong foundation we have put in place and the contacts we have made to continue to help our students grow."
