Celebrating Longwood Board of Education Leadership

Longwood Central School District proudly announces that Board President Victoria Molloy has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association (N-SSBA) Executive Committee, marking the first Longwood Board member to hold this esteemed position.

At the N-SSBA’s 65th Annual Business Meeting and Awards Dinner, President Molloy and Vice President Daniel Tomaszewski were honored with the Outstanding School Board Service Award. This recognition underscores their unwavering dedication to Longwood and their significant contributions to public education throughout Long Island. Longwood was notably distinguished as the sole district to receive two Outstanding Board Awards, highlighting the profound impact of their leadership.

Furthermore, during the June 5 Longwood Board meeting, three members were celebrated for their exceptional achievements in educational leadership, earning prestigious New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Achievement Awards:

  • Rhonda Stitham, Ed.D. – Board Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Gina Pozzolano Gebbia – Board Excellence Award
  • Matthew Gropper – Board Achievement Award

These honors affirm our Board of Education’s commitment to continuous professional development and exemplary leadership in support of our students, educators, and the broader Longwood community.
