Dear CEW Families,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all back for the 2023-2024 school year. I hope that you had the opportunity to enjoy some time with family and friends this summer and are ready for the start of the new school year.
Last year was very successful, and we are working hard to ensure that this school year is better than the last. As the father of two daughters, I understand the immense trust you place in us each and every day. We will constantly strive to meet your expectations and cultivate your child’s growth socially, emotionally, and academically. Thank you for your confidence. As parents, we are always understandably nervous for a new year, so I would like to put you at ease knowing that during the first few days, the hallways will be staffed with extra faculty to guide your child to their classrooms, and the teachers will be welcoming everyone for the start of their new adventure. The school will be open for visitors on Tuesday, September 5 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm to walk around briefly so your child feels comfortable on the first day of school.
There will be many events that take place throughout the school year. The PTA organizes a great deal of these activities and is always looking for volunteers to ensure its success. We look forward to seeing you at these events, as it is crucial for you to build a strong connection with the school. This will aid substantially in your child’s achievement. Your child’s lifelong success begins now! Let’s make sure they are successful!
We will be having Back to School Night and our first PTA meeting in September. Even though September is busy and filled with hectic schedules, we urge you to carve out some time for these important events, as it will better prepare you and your child for the year ahead.
There are many people that I would like to acknowledge who have been working tirelessly all summer long, getting the building ready for September. We are very appreciative of our custodial staff, office team, PTA, teachers, and support staff for ensuring that the building and our programs are ready for all of your children. It truly takes a village, and our team has done an extraordinary job.
It is important to us that you and your child have a successful year, so please reach out to your child’s teacher, our office staff, or administration if you have any questions or concerns. We pride ourselves on being a family here at CEW and are dedicated to the pursuit of educational excellence. Thank you, and have a wonderful year!
