FBLA Students Place at LI Competition
A group of 29 high school students recently competed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Spring District Meeting and Conference with 19 students placing in the top five in their respective competitions.  

Congratulations to the following students: 

Accounting: Emaan Chaudhry, 3rd and Isaiah Castillo, 4th

Advertising:  Cayla Spica and Giavonna Harvey, 4th

Banking and Financial Systems: Ryan Kaelin, 2nd and Kailey Gritzmacher, 4th 

Computer Problem Solving:Anthony Varacchi, 5th

Client Services: Emaan Chaudhry, 2nd

Entrepreneurship: Mitchell Flecker, 3rd and Giavonna Harvey, 4th 

Impromptu Speaking: Cole Burkhardt, 5th 

Introduction to Business: Itunu Adejare and Cianna Williams, 4th

Introduction to Public Speaking: Itunu Adejare, 2nd

Marketing: Calista DellaRocca, 4th and Kevin Borja, 5th

Sports and Entertainment Marketing: Nicholas Chiarovano, 1st

Word Processing: Jeannette Rio, 1st and Malaika Iqbal, 2nd

“We are so proud of the students’ hard work in preparing for this competition as well as their ongoing commitment to FBLA,” said co-advisors Gina Bolen and Jessica Gartland.  “The high school’s FBLA has approximately 75 members this year, and the group has participated in numerous school and community events.  We are looking forward to participating in the New York State competition held in April.”

Future Business Leaders of America helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs.
